Support for graduate students frequently includes stipends from the supervisors’ current research grants – this possibility should be discussed with supervisors. Other sources of support include teaching assistantships, research assistantships and internal or external scholarships. Employment conditions for Teaching Assistants are outlined in the collective agreement (PDF) between McMaster University and the Canadian Union of Public Employees.
Information on the types and terms of financial support for graduate students is available through the Office of the Registrar’s Aid & Awards Hub.
